The second grade classes have been learning about family history and giving reports about their ancestors. We have enjoyed hearing these intersting reports and love seeing the children excited about their family heritage and traditions. This assignment was a great way to get the students comfortable speaking in front of an audience. The second grade students took great pride in bringing in a typed or written one page report. Also, the students provided additonal props such as pictures, maps, flags, coins, antique treasures and even cereal bars!
