How many skittles would you eat?
We had fun in math using skittles to learn about fractions. Each student received a handful of skittles. We did this at the end of the day to relieve any sugar high that may occur! They were asked to make fractions about each color. For example, one child may have 5/12 yellow and only 2/12 red. Students learned how many equal parts they needed to make a whole and how different fractions may equal each other. The results were fun and yummy too!
