Welcome to the Second Grade Class of 2011-2012!
Second grade is in full swing! Students have begun taking roles as chapel leaders and song leaders each morning. We were delighted to see so many parents join us for these special times this week!
Not only has second grade been involved in chapel lessons but we have begun our more structured daily routine and core subject lessons as well. Students began their first week of spelling tests, grammar work, writing in our journals, and of course....homework. :)
To create a fun and exciting learning experience in math students got the opportunity to use playing cards as a tool for adding numbers and guessing the number that is missing. Students created the name "Head Game" for this new learning game. They had a great time learning and reviewing!
After a great 2nd week in 2nd grade we hope everyone has a fun and relaxing three day weekend! See you Tuesday!
