Cold Weather Policy & Author Study

As cold weather approaches we want to let the parents know about the Lower School cold weather policy and how we will handle recess.

From Mrs. Watt:
If the temperature is (wind chill/feels like) 21*or higher and the students are prepared with cold weather clothing, the students can go outside.

If the wind chill/feels like temperature is 20* or lower, the students may stay inside.

Teachers will use their best judgement on outside/inside recess with hopefully partial inside/outside on those days were the temperature are around 20*.

And a reminder, please send your child with cold weather clothing: coats, hats, gloves, scarves, etc.

Author Study Project:
Reminder to students that they should be working on their Author Study project at home. They will chose their favorite author to write a research report on. This report needs to include background information on the author, the books they have written, and a few fun facts about him/her. There also needs to be some kind of picture/art included. That can be printed off the computer, drawn by hand, or from the actual book. These reports can be brought in at any time, but are due by THIS Friday, so we have a week to share our reports.

Remember: NO homework logs because of this project. Spelling list only are going home.
